The country’s Skeleton Coast is where the desert meets the sea. So named for the many shipwrecks that dot the beaches, this unique habitat is also a refuge for seal colonies and especially the rare Brown Hyena, locally known as Strandwolf or ‘beach wolves’. After some rest and relaxation at a picturesque and fully equipped campsite in the region, we’ll head to Namibia’s most important national park. Etosha, with its numerous natural watering-holes is a refuge for many emblematic large and small mammals, with elephants, zebra, antelope, lions and giraffe depending on the season.
