Yellowstone
The first designated national park in the world, Yellowstone, which crosses portions of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming, is a giant volcanic caldera, site of the largest amount of geo-thermic phenomena on the planet. This results in spectacular geysers and bubbling hot springs framed by the mountains, forests and waterfalls of this unique area.
The United States at its most wild
Other highlights of the park include Yellowstone Canyon, whose sheer walls of yellow sandstone give the park its name.
Thanks to its protected status, the park is also home to diverse wildlife including bison, elk, pronghorn antelope, grizzly bears, wolves, jackals, wild sheep, ospreys and other fauna.
The perfect destination for those looking to visit some of the world’s most famous natural monuments, and an ideal destination for families looking to discover nature together.
In the extreme north of the United States we find Alaska, where the purest and wildest side of nature awaits us.
The last frontier
In Denali National Park we can discover the peaks of the Alaska mountain range and the landscapes of the taiga and tundra, in addition to the typical fauna that inhabits these ecosystems. It’s a perfect place to spot bears, wolves, caribou, moose, and dall sheep. All this surrounded by a truly breathtaking mountain landscape, which is home to the highest mountain in North America, Mount Denali, formerly known as Mount McKinley.
In the coastal town of Seward, gateway to Kenai National Park, sailing in the ocean you can observe the area’s native species, such as sea otters, porpoises, humpback whales and even orcas.
In strong contrast to the diversity of the ocean and the plains, the prehistoric glaciers stand out, which you can reach by helicopter and trek through them.
Flying by seaplane you arrive at Katmai National Park, a reserve that protects an active volcanic landscape and is a very important habitat for salmon and thousands of brown bears that feed on these fish.
Grizzly paradise
Katmai is one of the best areas, worldwide, to observe bears. The most recent bear survey documented more than 2,000 grizzly bears in the park and preserve. In this park you can see grizzly bears fishing for salmon that return to the streams where they were born after about 5 years in the ocean.
